Down in the Ojai Valley

Now this is getting right to it! Ojai-probably so very far from where the song was set originally (was there ever even a where?--certainly way before Ojai California!) but that doesn't matter a bit--we each find out own valleys...
I just sent for an old hardback copy of My Antonia (Willa Cather's great novel of pioneer-days Nebraska--and the families who settled there). The song always takes me to THAT country. However, San Luis Rey Valley (back of Oceanside, where I grew up)--has been the source of many of these feelings--and paintings-- as well...
